Letting Go Of Beliefs That No Longer Serve You

Our core beliefs inform our behaviors, feelings, and habits—they can either hinder or expand us. With each experience we face, we have choices about how we respond.

Taking an inventory of our beliefs and identifying what would better serve us is what gives us the possibility of living more happily and fully.

While we are the feeler of our feelings, we are never the feeling itself. Identifying the beliefs that lie behind our feelings is an important part of my approach and the work we will do together. When we realize there is space between our automatic responses and choice we see our freedom. Our potential for positive transformation is limitless. Therapy allows us to cultivate skills we can use to not only cope with what challenges us in life but also to thrive.

Treatment And Modalities

I treat adults who are suffering from anxiety or depression (or both), as well as those who are struggling to cope with trauma or adjust to life after parenthood, divorce, or relocation. I find that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology, the power of neuroplasticity, and the Buddhist practice of mindfulness each have merit in assisting clients in their process towards healing and living their lives more fully.

Focusing on strengths instead of weaknesses and honing the skills clients already possess builds their self-confidence and accelerates the healing process.

My Practice

Through a sense of warmth and safety in our sessions together, we will approach things that are important to you.

While I spend my time between New York and Europe, regardless of where I happen to be, I’m available to treat my clients on either continent via telehealth. For clients who prefer therapy in their native tongue, I do conduct sessions in either French or English.
